If you’ve ever asked AI to write something and gotten back bland, corporate mush, the fix isn’t a better AI — it’s telling it how you sound. In about ten minutes we’ll build a brand-voice writer using the free AI Prompt Builder: an assistant that writes captions, emails, and blurbs in a voice that’s recognizably yours, every time.

What we’re building

We’ll create a copywriter for a small coffee roaster with a warm, witty, down-to-earth voice. It’ll write on-brand marketing copy and avoid the buzzwords that make everything sound the same. Swap in your own brand’s personality as we go.

Pro tip

The example field is the secret weapon for brand voice. One sentence written the way you’d actually say it teaches the AI more than any list of adjectives.

Building it in the tool

Open the AI Prompt Builder and start from the Brand-voice copywriter template (Creative & copy), or fill it in like this:

  1. Who is it?
Who is it?a brand-voice copywriter for Ember, a small-batch coffee roaster
  2. What should it do?
What should it do?Write marketing copy — captions, product descriptions, and emails — that sounds consistently on-brand: clear, confident, and human.
  3. Pick a tone. Choose the three chips that match your brand. Ours: Witty, Warm, Direct.
  4. Add your “always” rules.
AlwaysLead with the benefit to the reader · Keep sentences short and easy to read aloud
  5. Add your “never” limits.
NeverUse corporate jargon or buzzwords · Overpromise or make claims you can’t back up
  6. Show one example — in your real voice. This is what locks in the personality.
Example — userWrite a caption for our new espresso blend.
Example — replyMeet Nightshift: bold, a little sweet, and strong enough to make Monday flinch. Roasted this week, in your cup next.

Frequently asked questions

How does it “learn” my voice?

Through the tone words and — most of all — the example you give. The closer your example is to how you really write, the better it matches.

Will everything sound the same?

No — it keeps a consistent voice while varying the content. Ask for a few options and pick the best.

Can I use this for other kinds of writing?

Yes. The tool has templates for product descriptions, ad copy, taglines, social captions, and more — same steps, different starting point.

Is the tool free?

Yes — no signup, nothing to install.
